It was around 12:30 in the afternoon, my heart was racing and my fingers were visibly trembling. As I put down the Pulse Oximeter that I had been obsessed with during the past couple of days, I thought to myself…what does it matter now.

I walked to the steel cupboard, which houses most of my clothes, a drawer with some important documents and some soft porn magazines given to me by an office colleague that I have been carrying around since 2004, since before free on-demand videos were a thing in Sri Lanka, and a secret compartment with a collection of a few of my knives (its hobby, not a tool). This rack is what anyone would notice as they entered my room, so I figured that its the best place to keep the Insurance policy documents, you know, just in case that I didn’t make it back today.

While I was laying the document on the rack, I couldn’t help but think how the whole thing will unfold, inevitably my Mother or my Girlfriend will come into my room, looking to get a White…
