This is amazing work. I too often question our existence. Last week while sitting in the car (thinking about my father who passed last year from Cancer and how I was not able to say a proper goodbye to him), I asked myself "what is the meaning of all this". But then I also realised (as you have grasped), in the larger scale of things, of human existence and time, what I am going through, what my Father went through, my lifetime...they are all so trivial...so insignificant. So maybe if 'God' or the 'Universe' considers my existence and suffering 'insignificant', maybe I too should not worry too much about all that is going on. This does not mean that we become unconscious to the trappings of life. On the contrary, we need to practice mindfulness and live in the present moment so much more vividly, because the only thing that really matters, is WHO we are in this lifetime and HOW we choose to live it.
